Early in the first quarter of the Lakers versus Pelicans game, Nick Young suffered a non-contact injury to what appeared to be his right foot. It looks to be very serious as it was just handed down that Young has a strained Achilles.

It is unknown at this point if it is just a strain or if it is a full tear. As many of us Lakers fans know, a full tear is a devastating injury that keeps players out for a very long time. Violent flashbacks of Kobe’s injury creep into the mind. As seen above, more information on the injury will be released once the MRI is completed. The only thing Lakers fans can do now is hope that it is just a strain and not a tear. After what appeared to be a comeback year for Swaggy P, an achilles tear would derail his season and probably some of next season too.
