After buying out Jose Calderon early today, the Lakers moved quickly to sign guard David Nwaba to a 10 day contract:

This is a promising sign for a team that isn’t exactly know for taking risks on players like these from their D-League. The hope always was that the Lakers would get rid of Calderon and/or Huertas to sign a risk/reward player like Nwaba.

David is averaging 13.9 PPG, 7.0 TRB, and 1.0 AST.

His wingspan is also 6’11.5″ which can bold well for his defensive upside.
