With the NBA switching over from Adidas to Nike this year, some teams decided to create new uniforms, some keeping the same style, and some bringing back throwback jerseys. The Lakers “Icon” (yellow), “Association” (white), and “Statement” (purple) jerseys were all similar and didn’t have many noticeable differences, but the Lakers have just announced they’re bringing back a “Classic” jersey.
The yellow “Icon” are the primary jerseys for the Lakers, the white “Association” are the traditional Sunday Whites, and the purple “Statement” jerseys are an alternate, that won’t be worn for the firs time until November 29th against the Warriors. The Lakers will wear these light blue “Classic” MPLS jerseys five times this year, the first being this Wednesday against the Wizards. These will also be worn on November 15th vs the 76ers, December 27th vs the Grizzlies, January 3rd vs the Thunder, and March 7th vs the Magic.
We'll suit up in the classic MPLS unis five times this season! #LakeShow
