Lakers basketball is finally back. Whether we would see a win or loss tonight, it’s just great to see these guys back on the court. The Lakers showed bright spots in the first half, but trailed by anywhere from 6-12 points for most of the game. Lonzo Ball showed flashes of fun on fast breaks, but was wearing BBB shoes – probably holding him back from an elite performance. The 2nd overall pick in June scored only 5 points, but added 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, shooting 2-9. Although he shot 4-15 and only scored 10 points, Brandon Ingram continues to show growth in his game. Zo threw some great passes to BI early in the game, most of which Brandon couldn’t finish.
One bright spot on the Lakers tonight was 27th overall selection in this years draft, Kyle Kuzma. Kyle dominated Summer League in July, and continued to impress on the offensive end, shooting 9-12 and scoring 19 points. Kuz also pulled down 5 rebounds, while forwards Nance and Randle racked up 9 and 7, respectively. #TheKuzmaEffect
