Lonzo Ball is on the bill for tomorrow as he workouts out with the Lakers to hopefully, in his mind, seal the deal that he will be the #2 pick come draft night. Another potential #2 pick on the Lakers board is Kansas star forward Josh Jackson. It looks like the Lakers will be attending a workout with Jackson the day after Ball’s workout on Thursday 6/6 in Sacramento California (Per Mike Bresnahan of Time Warner Sportsnet).
Laker execs plan to see Kansas SG/SF Josh Jackson work out Thursday in Sacramento, where he's conducted a majority of his workouts.

Josh Jackson is a lanky 6’8 forward who can guard at least 3 positions. He is extremely athletic for his frame and has a decent wingspan for his size at 6’10. It is presumed that he would line up in the back court with D’Angelo Russell as the number 2 guard. With his “quick twitch” he has the ability to recover quickly on guards that have gone past him.
Josh Jackson could be just what Luke is looking for in terms of being able to switch. Walton’s heavy switch defense could be heavily boosted by adding a player like Jacskon to the starting lineup. Having the ability to guard both gaurds, small forwards, and power forwards (in small ball or switch defenses) he could be a huge problem for opposing offenses.
Josh Jackson is not the playmaker Lonzo Ball or Markelle Fultz are, but he has an innate sense of getting to his spots, and though his jumper isn’t consistent enough to call him a threat from deep, the tournament proved that in time he could be a huge threat from beyond the line. He averaged 16 points with a surprising 7 rebounds and 3 assists per game. From deep he was 38% with roughly 3 attempts per game. Most of all, he is extremely athletic and can destroy opposing defenses at the basket with his “out the gym” jumping ability.
