Lakers plan to meet with Derrick Rose on Thursday

After a night off Friday against the San Antonio Spurs, it looks like D’Angelo Russell will be ready to start tonight for the Lakers.

Though the Lakers played well against the Spurs, it was clear that they missed the 6’5 point guard out of Ohio State. Julius Randle stated after the game “It makes it really hard because he gets us in our stuff…can really score. He is a great leader for us.” Randle went on to say that Jose Calderon did a great job stepping up. However, it was clear that Russell’s passing and scoring abilities were sorely missed (pun intended). Only time will tell how D’Angelo Russell, the man with ice in his veins, will play tonight. There are no restrictions for him and he is back in the starting lineup for the game tonight.

Dwayne Wade out

In other injury news it was announced earlier that Dwayne Wade will be sitting out against the Lakers tonight for rest. This looks to be a standard protocol for the Bulls this season to rest Dwayne Wade on the second night of a back to back, especially on the road. Last night’s loss to the Clippers was certainly grueling for the team. We can only hope that the Lakers build off a strong night against the Spurs, as we well as a tough night for the Bulls the night before.
