Players are always talking about playing with each other. Especially when the players friends and they know each other.

Lou Williams had been a great addition to the already high powered offense of the Rockets. Lou can carry an offensive bench unit with James Harden is on the bench. When they are both on the floor, Lou serves are a good catch and shoot player that can create his won shot.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed Lou Williams 2 years ago and they decided to trade him this trade deadline. The Lakers received Corey Brewer and a late 1st round pick. Harden apparently had a huge part in getting him to Houston:

“When James called, he asked me if I was interested in playing with them,” Williams told The Vertical. “I told him that I loved the Lakers, but James and them have a group that fit my personality, fit how I play. He said he was going to make it happen.”

Williams then laughed, sitting on the edge of a visiting court following a recent practice. “I’ve heard that before, so I didn’t really put stock into it,” Williams told The Vertical. “I guess James did put the word in, and the team made it happen.”

It is clear that Houston was going to give Harden what he wanted and they were able to get him at a good price. The Rockets got a good creator and the Lakers got another asset.
